Factors that may affect your total include (but are not limited to):

– Driving distance

Grooming dogs with special needs takes time, patience, and skill — and I’m committed to providing them with the calm, respectful care they deserve.

Your pup’s comfort and safety will always be my top priority, no matter their unique needs.

  • $20-60

Travel fees apply to clients located outside of my standard service areas.

Fees start at $20 for nearby locations and may increase up to $60 for clients located 40–60 minutes or more from Poway, CA.

I’ll always confirm your exact travel fee before booking, so there are no surprises — just clarity and convenience!

  • $25-$55

Please note that there are risks involved with dematting, which are outlined in my policies section.

Severe matting can also dull or damage grooming equipment, which may require additional maintenance. For these reasons, an extra fee may apply depending on the condition of your dog’s coat.

Your dog’s comfort and safety will always come first — and I’ll always communicate clearly before proceeding. repair.

Service Policies

All clients are required to read and agree to the Pampered Pups Groomer/Client Agreement before any grooming services are performed.

Drop-Off for Stationary Services:

To keep the day running smoothly and respect the time of all my furry clients, please arrive promptly at your scheduled time.

⏰ If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, it will be considered a no-show, and the appointment may need to be rescheduled.

Pick-Up for Stationary Services:

I completely understand that life happens and traffic can be unpredictable — but for safety and comfort, I can’t keep dogs waiting in the trailer after their groom is complete.

I’ll always call or text you 30–40 minutes before finishing so you have time to plan your return.

Once your pup is ready, there will be a 15–20 minute grace period. After that, a $30 late pick-up (boarding) fee will apply.

Thank you so much for your understanding and for respecting this policy — it helps me care for all pets in a calm and timely manner! 🐾

Mobile Appointment Arrival:

I’ll always send a call or text before I head your way. To avoid no-shows and unnecessary travel, I kindly ask that you confirm your appointment before I begin driving.

If I don’t receive confirmation, your appointment time may need to be rescheduled. Thank you for understanding and helping me keep things running smoothly!

Safety Notice:

For insurance and safety reasons, clients are not permitted inside the mobile grooming unit during appointments. Thank you for respecting this policy — your pup will be in loving hands.

To ensure a smooth and safe grooming appointment, please make sure the parking area is clear of any obstacles that could prevent me from turning around or backing out.

Also, be mindful of low-hanging trees and power lines, as my grooming unit is tall and may not fit safely under overhangs.

If there is a risk of damage to the vehicle or difficulty accessing the area, I may not be able to enter the property. Thank you for your understanding and for helping me provide safe, efficient service.

Please potty your pup(s) before your appointment to help avoid accidents inside the grooming trailer.

Also, refrain from feeding your dog within an hour prior to grooming. A full stomach can cause discomfort, especially during stressful situations or in dogs prone to digestive issues.

Pampered Pups is not liable for any health concerns caused by feeding too close to the appointment — including stress-related conditions such as bloat, torsion, or GDV.

Thank you for helping me keep your pet safe, calm, and comfortable during their visit! 🐾

For the safety of your pet and others, please do not open or knock on the trailer door while grooming is in progress.

If you need to reach me, simply text or call, and I’ll be happy to come to the door when it’s safe to do so.

I take your pet’s safety very seriously, and I assure you — they are in caring, capable hands every step of the way. 🐾

Matting & Shave-Down

Policy

The condition of your pet’s coat is the responsibility of the client. Pampered Pups will not be held liable for any adverse effects that may result from mat removal or shave-down procedures.

In cases of severe matting, shaving may be required for the comfort and safety of your pet — or it may be done by personal preference.

A shave-down involves clipping the coat very close to the skin, resulting in a short, smooth appearance. While this may be necessary, it’s important to understand that shaving can lead to certain skin and coat issues.

These may include, but are not limited to:

- Nicks, cuts, or abrasions, especially if mats are tightly bound to the skin or hidden around moles, warts, or skin folds

- Moisture trapped beneath mats, which can lead to pre-existing skin conditions such as mold, fungus, or bacterial infections

- Changes in coat regrowth, including loss of hair in certain areas, different texture or color, and new growth patterns (such as cowlicks)

- Hyperpigmentation, or darkened areas of skin where hair may not regrow normally

-Sunburn (sunscreen is recommended after a shave-down)

-A drastic change in your dog’s appearance, as the coat will be very short

-Temporary behavioral changes in some dogs following grooming

-Itchiness, redness, bruising, or swelling

-Self-inflicted irritations from licking, biting, or scratching

-Hematomas (swelling due to mat removal)

-Loss of guard coat in double-coated breeds

-Hot spots, which can appear days or even weeks after a shave-down

De-Shedding Treatments

Please note: This treatment does not stop or eliminate shedding, but it significantly helps reduce it.

- Your pup will receive a thorough brush-out, followed by two full baths — the first with a deep cleanser, and the second with a high-quality deshedding shampoo designed to loosen and release excess undercoat.

- This special formula opens the pores and encourages the natural release of the undercoat, especially helpful when your pup is blowing their seasonal coat (winter or summer).

-The treatment is finished with a re-moisturizing conditioner to soothe the skin and restore softness and shine to your pup’s coat.

-To dry, I use a special force dryer to effectively blow out the undercoat.

-Deshedding should be done every 4–8 weeks to maintain healthy skin and coat, and to achieve the best results.
